TK60 is a high performance liquid polymer concrete drilling fluid. Easy-mixing, it is a valuable aid in various freshwater mud and foam drilling and coring. It’s chemistry dramatically reduces clay swelling, allowing difficult, sticky formations to be drilled with ease. It reduces torque and drag and in addition, keeps drill bits fairly clean while also allowing for faster bore hole drilling. It can be combined with Aero Foam to produce a thick carrying foam which can stablise clay and also leaves behind clear water for re-use by allowing for dropping out of solid particles.

TK60 is a high performance liquid polymer concrete drilling fluid. Easy-mixing, it is a valuable aid in various freshwater mud and foam drilling and coring. Its chemistry makes it effective at less than half of 1% in water (usually 2 to 4 kg per cubic metre) and dramatically reduces clay swelling, allowing difficult, sticky formations (for example, London Clay) to be drilled with ease. It reduces torque and drag and in addition, keeps drill bits fairly clean.
This product is well known in the industry as it reduces down hole problems and allows most kinds of bore-holes to be drilled much faster than with water or clay mud and is thus considered an all purpose drilling mud. However, TK60 polymer can also be mixed with Aero foam to make a solution, which creates a stiff foam with excellent carrying capacity combined lubrication and clay stabilisation. Further more, this polymer will leave behind clear water which can be reused, by encouraging rapid drop outs of solid particles.
One 25 kg drum will provide up to 10,000 litres of mud and so TK60 is ideal for all kinds of drilling operations, particularly in remote areas, as well as major geotechnical and civil engineering projects.
However, do note, that TK60 is NOT recommended for use in salty water.
