GeoDrill Core Saw Blades offer users an excellent cutting blade for use with the GeoFactory range of core saws. Excellent cutting discs in a range of sizes, suitable for trimming, slabbing and cutting. The smaller sizes, 200 and 250 mm diameter posses a 30 mm and 25.4 mm bore. While the larger sizes all have a 25.4 mm bore. Allowing them to be used on other machines with similar facilities. They are continuous or have segments as per the options, with the segment version enable both dry and wet cutting. Suitable for cutting through soft to hard natural stone, whether that be a geological sample or core sample.
Specifications:
GeoDrill Core Saw Blades offer users an excellent cutting blade for use with the GeoFactory range of core saws. Such as the Dual Axis Core Saw. Though it’s bore size will allow them to be used on other brands and models. Made using aluminiuim oxide grit, fibreglass and resin. Strengthening the overall discs. The edges of each blade contain diamonds for excellent cutting and abrasive qualities, which makes it suitable for cutting through natural stone. Therefore they are excellent for cutting through geological core samples.
Blade sizes:
The blades are available in six diameters ranging from 200 mm to 550 mm and have segments. (Except those which are 200 and 250 mm in diameter). The 200 and 250 mm diameter blades are continuous all the way around and both have 30 mm bore and 25.4 mm bore respectively. These particular versions are therefore suitable for stone trimming applications, as they are shallow in comparison but relatively quick at cutting. Particularly through small pieces of material. Such as BQ core samples or small hand specimens.
The remaining blades available are 350, 400, 450 and 550 mm in diameter. These particular versions have segments around the blade circumference which allows for better air flow, water and thus cooling during use. They are also close in proximity which prevents snagging during cutting. They can cut through soft to hard natural stone such as sandstones, limestones to marbles and granites. The larger sizes are ideal for larger core diameters such as PQ. Additionally, they are equally suitable to cut material wet or dry. All of these sizes posses a 25.4 mm bore.
Conclusion:
GeoDrill Core Saw Blades are made specifically for the geological sector to cut through natural stone and core samples. Production is in Spain, ensuring a high quality end product which when used correctly. Provides users with a blade with a long life span. They are excellent for cores and rough rock samples, with the larger blades being suitable for slabbing and slicing.
