Edding Mapping Pen

This Edding Mapping Pen features different strokes, making it suitable for fine diagrams, writing, map drawings and symbols. Particularly where precision notation and diagrams are required. The pens feature lightfast pigment ink and a round nib which is held within a steel frame. Ensuring consistently accurate writing or drawing throughout your project.

The ink in the Edding mapping pen is non-toxic as it is water-based, therefore making it suitable for writing on standard paper or ragbond paper, such as that found in Chartwell or Rite in the Rain field notebooks. Being quick drying, smear, and fade resistant. The formula also prevents it from bleeding through paper as well. It is, however, not suitable for writing on polyart paper.

The pen is available in three-stroke widths and four colors. 0.1 (0.25 mm), 0.3 (0.35 mm) and 0.5 (0.5 mm) width strokes. With the four main colors being, black, blue, red, and green. These strokes are commonly in use on mineral exploration, geological mapping, exploration drilling or land surveying projects. As are the colours, which often denote different meanings, hazards, boundaries and more on maps and diagrams.

The Edding Mapping Pen is within a slightly tapered, ergonomic body for comfort during long spells of writing or drawing. Especially when a lack of a table or other adequate writing surface is present when in the field. It also comes with a leakproof cap and pocket clip, allowing for storage in a geological mapping vest or shirt pockets for quick and easy access when needed.
