The Geo Transit compass clinometer by Brunton, provides users with a top-tier universal precision mapping instrument for geological, mining, surveying and excavation use. Allowing you to obtain a number of directional, height, angle and dip and strike readings with one piece of equipment. The model features a highly accurate precision NdFeB disc magnet, an internal manually operated bubble level clinometer as well as a hinge inclinometer. These allow for both traditional dip and strike and Clar style methods to be used. The dial as standard is azimuth, quadrant models are available. All of this is held within a tough alloy, waterproof housing for use on-site, in mines and quarries, on drilling rigs and during mineral exploration and geological fieldwork.
Specifications:
Brunton Geo Transit compass clinometer is the world standard for geological, mining, surveying and mineral exploration use. It features a hinge inclinometer for obtaining quick precision angle measurements at a quick pace. Additionally, it features an internal manually operated bubble-level clinometer ranging from 0˚ to 90˚ in 1˚ increments. Ideal for mapping, prospecting and measuring, such as: strike and dip, trend and plunge, dip and dip direction, and bearing and angles. Making data collection whilst out in the field faster and easier while maintaining accuracy.
The Brunton Geo Transit compass clinometer contains an accurate NdFeB disc magnet for directional readings which further, resists demagnetization. Further, the declination is adjustable ±180. An internal bubble level ensures a level of instruments, ensuring accurate readings.
The Geo Transit also comes with a buckhorn sighting arm and sighting mirror for performing triangulation, height readings, slope angles and percentile scales. Notches along the body sides allow for securing the device to a Brunton tripod and ball and socket mount.
The Geo Transit is available in azimuth or quadrant models. Furthermore, all precision mechanisms are within a robust alloy housing.
