Geological sample ticket book, with triple counterfoils. As per many sampling projects, whether it is mineral chips, rock, or soil samples over an area. Ticket books aid exploration geologists and those in analysis, to maintain order of the hundred or thousands of samples collected from field to lab. This version contains three tear-out tickets (or tags). If you only require two tickets, view our double counter foil book, HERE.
By utilizing a simple ticketing system, with tags placed with material in sampling bags, while users keep the stub. The pages present a sequential number, which is never duplicated, and run in chronological order. Users can write on the pages with either ballpoint pens, weatherproof pens, or pencils.
Our range of geological sample ticket books is on waterproof and tear-resistant paper. Featuring a design and layout intended to cover the most basic sampling projects. Fields include project, date, sampler, hole ID, grid ref, target, lithology, and so on. Additionally, space is present at the bottom of each page for further notes.
The back cover consists of thin card, allowing for a sturdy writing surface. A must-have in field conditions. The tickets all have perforations, allowing for easy tearing in the field. A design by Axial Exploration and Drilling Supplies Ltd, with input from exploration geologists. The books are made in the UK to a high quality.
A Geological sample ticket book is often in use alongside geological sampling bags. In which the material users obtain in the field is put. Along with a ticket. The bag is sealed and another ticket is affixed to the outside of the bag. The remaining stub is held by the field geologist who will hand it over to a laboratory later for assay analysis.
