The specific gravity station is suitable for on-site use at mines or assay labs due to its modular design and lightweight. Intended to determine the specific gravity/density of aggregates, minerals, ores or core samples by submerging the samples in water, whilst suspended from a scale. The entire station is supplied as a whole set, including the frame, water bucket, wire mesh basket, core sample cradle and digital balance with underweigh capabilities, (16 kg x 0.1 grams).
Conformity:
Current Lead, 4 to 5 Weeks Approx.
Specific gravity station enables you to determine the specific density or gravity of aggregates, including, rocks, minerals, and core samples. Often in use in a lab or on a mining and mineral exploration project site. The station comes as a complete set and provides you with the ability to weigh your samples submerged in water with a balance with below-weighing capabilities. Furthermore, such instruments can also calculate the volume of irregular shapes, such as natural stone and similar materials. Particularly for sedimentology purposes, geotechnical engineering, or academia.
The lower part of the frame incorporates a moving platform, which carries the water tank allowing the test specimens you wish to weigh, in both air and water. Additionally, it comes with a digital balance that can weigh up to 16 kg with 0.1 g readability. This is in addition to a cradle, for core samples and a steel mesh basket for rough samples of aggregate such as broken concrete or rock and mineral ores. Fairly compact, and easy to clean, the frame is high-quality steel with yellow powder coating, measuring 400 x 560 x 1000 mm (L x W x H). Weighing 36 kg when completely put together.
The Specific Gravity Density Station can however be outfitted to your custom requirements upon request. Such as switching out the balance/scales for different readabilities and accuracy, basket sizes, and so on. Please contact us for further details.
